Our recommendation for the best way to buy a uniform skirt that fits properly is to visit our shop and try on skirts before purchasing.
The manufacturers of school uniform skirts do not follow traditional retail sizing and the charts we have here for matching your student’s measurements to a skirt size are a bit deceiving. We recommend that your daughter come in and put on a skirt (or several) before purchasing. For example, the student may say that her waist is 36 inches. Is that her natural waist? The uniform skirts are made with a set-in waistband that is intended to sit at the natural waist, but most girls prefer to wear them lower. Thus, it's very difficult to know a skirt size based on that particular measurement.
